Love Letters

A love story that spans through time and distance, centers around characters Andrew and Melissa, childhood friends whose lifelong correspondence begins with thank-you notes and summer camp postcards. Romantically attached, the two continue to exchange letters through their own very different life experiences, moving from college and adulthood to divorce and death and ultimately to the eloquent realization of what their exchanges meant to the other.

About Debi Guthery:

Debi Guthery has performed in regional theatre and national tours across the US. She has had the great honor of playing the title roles in “Hello, Dolly!”, “Mame”, “The Drowsy Chaperone” and “Sylvia” in which she won a best actress award. Having performed in over 60 musicals and plays in her career she has also written and performed to rave reviews her own one-woman musical comedies. As well as theatre Debi performs all thru SWFL at country clubs, private events and restaurants singing dinner/dance music.

About Michael Nichols:

Mr. Nichols is very pleased to be making his Gold Theatricals debut with this production. He appeared on Broadway with Nathan Lane and Laurie Metcalf in the world premiere of David Mamet’s NOVEMBER. He also appeared in Steppenwolf Theatre’s Broadway production of ONE FLEW OVER THE CUCKOOS NEST with Gary Sinise. Off-Broadway he performed at The New Victory Theatre in Tom Sawyer and with The Pearl Theatre in EXIT THE KING and IPHIGENIA AT AULIS. 

Michael has also acted in numerous productions throughout the United States in many Regional theatres including: The Alley Houston, Goodspeed Opera House CT, Kansa City Repertoire Theatre, Actors Theatre of Louisville, Barrington Stage MA, Centerstage Baltimore, Pioneer Theatre Company Utah, Shakespeare Festival Los Angeles, Orlando Shakespeare Festival, Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey, Round House Theatre Bethesda, Syracuse Stage and Freefall Theatre St. Petersburg, FL where he was named Outstanding Lead Actor in a Play by Theatre Tampa Bay Awards. 

Locally, he has performed with The Naples Players in: HOW THE OTHER HALF LOVES, THE LION IN WINTER and BEAUTY AND THE BEAST.   

Michael holds an MFA Degree in acting from the Old Globe Theatre/University of San Diego Professional Actor Training Program. And he is a U.S. Army Veteran. 

About Jessica Walck:

Jessica held the position of Associate Artistic Director at The Naples Players for ten years and is now a full time freelance actor and director. She enjoys acting, directing and teaching acting classes for all ages and levels. Recent directing credits include The Complete Works of Shakespeare (Abridged), Making God Laugh, Escanaba in da Moonlight, Don’t Dress for Dinner and the World Premiere production of June & Jason’s Survival Guide to Divorce. She is a faculty member of the New England Music Camp for their annual summer musical theatre intensive and is a proud graduate of The Neighborhood Playhouse School of the Theatre in NYC.
