Terry Luttrell is best known as the original lead vocalist of the rock band REO Speedwagon during its early years in the late 1960s and early 1970s. His distinctive voice helped shape the band’s formative sound before he departed and later joined the group Starcastle.
In more recent years, Luttrell has revisited his musical roots with the REO Classics Band, a project dedicated to performing classic REO Speedwagon material from the band’s early era. The group focuses on delivering authentic renditions of those songs for longtime fans, keeping the spirit of REO’s original lineup alive on stage.
A key contributor to the band’s driving live sound is drummer Michael Mesey, whose résumé includes touring experience with rock and roll pioneer Chuck Berry as well as work with the Midwestern rock band Head East. Mesey’s solid groove and seasoned stage presence bring added authenticity and power to the REO Classics Band’s performances.
